Default Avid | My Account - Randomly switching language

Why is my account switching language to GERMAN?

I am registered in The Netherlands and using ENGLISH language but from time to time, my account will display in German?!? And it's not even full German, some parts of UI are still in English.
Why there is not a user settings where we could choose the language and also saved this stupid issue.
It happens so randomly and then after some weeks it switch back to English!

Avid, Please do something about this, it is hugely annoying and impractical.

It's usually the browser being used and avid.com. Go to Avid.com and at the very bottom select language and using the little arrow select English. We are doing a re-do if the web site so that might also be contributing. Let me report it but what browser are you using ( Chrome, Safari etc.?)

Thanks for letting me know.... might have to do with some work being done on avid.com but as long as you are on the latest version of Safari for your Mac... and you now how to switch it back to English - you should be ok moving forward.

When I renewed my perpetual update plan this morning the shopping cart told me I was using the wrong currency for my location. I looked into my account and noticed my location was GB instead of Australia! Weird.

Hi - now 4/17/2024.

In my account, mostly in german.
Went to AVID home and there is a language/currency selection at the very top.
Tried this to set Englush / USD.

My account still mostly in german.
Didn't see a 'language' selection at the bottom.

Ya know, most websites just don't seem to have this problem.
Seems to continue to reoccur at AVID.
I'm on Firefox / Windows 10.

How fo I fix it?

Let me check on this -

BTW folks.... its a new avid.com platform website and being tweaked for optimal performance and such so the language selection is now at the top next to the Search field.

Mine looks like ----- image attached

Can you check it.

Yes. That's the field I found. And it was set to English and USD when my account page was showing (mostly) Germain.

I tried setting it to English and USD (again).
It didn't change anything on the accounts page.

In spite of my sarcasm, I have to compliment AVID on their continued rollout of new and desirable functionality in Pro Tools.
