I have a session that will not open because:

"Could not complete your request because magic ID does not match."

This is the first time i've seen this error.

Anyone have experience with this?

Have you already tried opening a new Session and import the session data having issues?

Creating a new Session and trying to import session data results in the same error message.

Possibly the session file itself is corrupted. Have you tried going to the latest backup and opening it?

Limit the type of session data you’re trying import by starting out with just raw tracks, clips and audio. If that imports ok them increase the import options until you find where it falls down.

You might need to do this track by track.

It doesn't let you get that far. The error comes up right after you choose the session to import data from.

AFAIK you need to go back to a backup as that error is PT way of telling you the session doc is corrupt.

Check your preferences and make sure you have set it up to autosave every minute and keep the last 99 autosaves.

The autosaves have the same issue. There must be a way to correct the magic id in the code of the session file.
