Lag when i change buffer size

Hi!

With 12.8, I had cpu spike and pro tools was unusable until i find to disable hyperthreading in bios. I don't know why but it work.

Now i only have one problem, every time i want to change buffer size in pro tools it start lagging and is running bad until i restart.

it's the same thing with a fresh window install.

My cpu is a Intel Core i7-4770 3,40 Ghz.

i have Pro tools install on the Window (C) Drive a Samsung Pro 850

and the session on a (D) Western digital 7200 rpm.

My audio interface is a Spl Crimson.

Is it normal the need to close pro tools every time i change buffer size with 3rd party interface ?

If it's not normal can anyone tell me why it do that ? if anyone already had this problem.

Or if you need a Sandra Report, please tell me and i will try to do.

With some 3rd party interfaces it is normal to need a relaunch when buffer size is changed.

I too find running with Hyperthreading disabled in bios helps with peaks and errors.
