Re: uninstalling 7.4 to upgared to pt9
You want to do the "Clean" uninstall, which uninstalls everything. It won't affect your 3rd party plugins, so don't worry.
And all the Digi/Avid plugins that normally come with Protools, they will be reinstalled when you install PT9. One thing to remember after you install PT9, is that you'll need to install the drivers for your hardware separately. This includes the Avid interfaces like the 002/003 and Mboxes, and these can be found on the Avid site. I mention that because previously, the drivers for the Avid/Digi interfaces would be installed with Protools, but with PT9, they are now separate. If you're using another brand of interface, the drivers can be found on that manufacturer's website. |

Re: uninstalling 7.4 to upgared to pt9
It is always a good idea to have a good backup of your hard drive before performing any upgrade. I usually clone the hard drive. That way I can easily get back to my previous setup in a snap.

7.4 to 9?
I'm guessing the first thing you'll have to do is install a new operating system...
