Default Question about S5-MC channel strip assignment

I'm New comer to S5 MC. I've question about channel strip assignment.
For example, channel 1 of MC is automatically assigned track 1(audio 1) of PT. If I assign that track to channel 9 of MC, that track is assigned to both channel 1 and 9 of MC at the same time. Can I change the assignment of Track 1 totally without using Bank/Nudge?

We have 16 fader 5MCs.

I hit the setup button in the 'strip control' area of the master section (near bank and nudge buttons). Select modules tab. And assign the right hand fader module in the list before left hand one. This makes fader 9, fader 1. And fader 1 fader 9.

Thats how i roll.

Hope that helps : )

Can I change the soft key of 'Play, Stop, Rewind etc.' to those above the track ball from the left around the shuttle jog?

You can reprogram all the soft keys and save them in a custom user set. Just press the setup button located in the lower right hand corner of each section you need to change, and then start experimenting with different control layouts. The tedious bit is changing icons, as you have to scroll through all of them before you reach the one that seems fit, and it can be a long process.

Are there any shortkeys so that I can swap all the channels at the same time?

If you press on the small "all" button (top left on the MC pro) all the strips will be linked when pressing Swap or changing knobsets.

Thanks
I want to explore other functions of the MC, but I found that there are lack of resources on the net. Beside this forum, where can I find more information for the MC?

interesting thread - was wondering about the buttons and Icons thanks!

I am freelancing in a studio - where the staff dont seem to be interested in sharing their knowledge of the system 5 - actually the assistant assigned to help me didnt even know you could program your own buttons,., altho he had great memory of all protools shortcut ( i jus press em - I dont particularly remember what menu!

thats great for the slow process of navigating EUCON options

seems to be limited resources online? I found the PDF of the manual - which is some help

Havent got to the bit where I can make a fader follow selected track?

and its always high pressure when I sit in front of it - ie limited time to explore...

the other handy one would to be open my EQ window ( ie protools plug in )

oh and surround panner =

I was told they never use it and just do it all in the box really!

Hey Guys here's a link to the User Guide, its a couple of years old but not much has changed. http://cdn.avid.com/MCPro_EUCON/2.7....er%20Guide.pdf
I used to be the Product Specialist and Product Manager for the MCPro and S5MC 10 years ago when it first came out so can try and help (although I'm a bit rusty on it now too!) All the release notes are on this page http://euphonix.avid.com/artist/ux/e...c_support.html
