Default McDSP V5 Plugins and PT9.0.1

I have just upgraded my McDSP ML4000 (Native) plug-in to the new V5 version.

I have been running PT 9.0.1 on my Mac since the upgrade was released. However after upgrading to the V5 version of the McDSP plug in ProTools crashes immediately on launch with an error message that seems to indicate it is looking for a file type 9.0.1 but is finding a 9.0.0.

I have done a complete uninstall and reinstalled ProTools 9.0.0 with the McDSP V5 plug-in still installed and everything works. However when I upgrade to PT 9.0.1 I get the same crash when attempting to launch ProTools.

Has anyone had a similar experience or had success with these new version 5 range of McDSP and PT 9.0.1?

Default Re: McDSP V5 Plugins and PT9.0.1

It appears the fault may have been a ProTools 9.0.1 issue that was triggered when the McDSP ML4000 V5 installer also tried to update my iLok drivers.

A subsequent post by AVID today alerted me to a DIGI002/003 MIDI Driver issue that was inadvertently created when a driver was left out of the ProTools 9.0.1 update

Alert: 003 and 002 with Pro Tools 9.0.1 on Mac OS X
January 7, 2011 - This fix will reinstall the DigiDioMidiDriver.plug-in that was inadvertently deleted when performing a Pro Tools 9.0.1 install or upgrade. This plug-in is necessary for proper MIDI functionality on 002/003 interfaces.
ProTools 9.0.1 is now working correctly with McDSP ML4000 v5 (Native) installed
