Oh Damn. I stand corrected. WD and Seagate make a few very good 7200 RPM low seek time drives.

If you look through some laptop harddrive benchmarks online, I think you'll find that the Seagate Momentus performs very well - out of the platter drives of course; not including SSD's.

I replaced both the harddrives on my Toshiba A300 with Momentus's.
