Double the tempo and use 2 bars as one.

I don't know what grid i need, but i recorded something wich wouldn't fit with input quantize at 1/16, then i recorded it without input quantize and try to match perfectly the notes but didn't worked and i was trying to set the grid even further (more than 1/32). But i don't know what's the problem. I am learning time signatures right now and maybe what i recorded wasn't the same time signature with the rest of the song...i don't know. I gonna let you know when i'm gonna pick up that project again.

I recorded a snare drum playing down 2 octaves from A. It last about half second but i don't like how i record it. I want it to be perfect.
Is it possible to double the tempo just for that track ? (because 1/64 it's not enough)

what if I'm trying to only double the tempo for a certain track? Like I'm making a trap beat using MIDI but I only want the hi hats to speed up tempo to provide that super fast stuttering hi hat effect. How do I change the tempo grid so just my hi hat track changes tempo but the other tracks stay the same?

I have the solution for you: free hand, such kind of music deserves the extra effort I'm sure
