Pro Tools 2018 worth the upgrade from 12?

Is 2018 worth the upgrade from 12? This may be pretty opinion based, but I wanted to hear the consensus. I capped out at 12.7 and thought I would have to pay the $299 to upgrade to 2018 to be able to use pro tools after a necessary OS upgrade to Sierra, but 12.5 still works!

Thoughts?

On a side note, would it be worth exploring 12.7 with Sierra? (Should I save this question for the 12 forum?)

Is that pretty much it? That, and the visuals of eq plot in the mix window, and color coding sends thing etc? Any workflow enhancements, or overall performance enhancements over previous versions?

If you are a composer or a MIDI user, retrospective record is a Godsend... the record button is "always on" in case you practice or play and wish to keep the happy accident you "didn't" record...
