Default media can't link audio to aaf exported from ProTools

I recently upgraded to PT 2019.6 from PT11. Media Composer won't link up with any of the audio files in the aaf that I export from PT 2019.6 or PT12. If I export the same session as an aaf in PT11, it works fine in Media Composer. The export aaf window is identical in all 3 versions of PT. Can anyone help? I want to move on from PT11!
