Default Daft punk robot voices

I'm looking to add this kind of effect in one of my clients projects. Just wondered if anybody could chime in on the best way to do this

I don't know what Daft Punk robots sound like, but AudioEase Speakerphone makes incredibly good robot voices.

Here's an example. I've just been clicking through different presets. There are a million ways to tweak the sound just to fit your needs. You can even select LFOs to modulate the parameters within the plugin.

The Banshee is okay and has the distinct advantage of being a 1-box solution. The original type of talkbox(like the Heil, or the Framptone) uses a horn driver and requires an amplifier head to drive it. Just plug anything into the Banshee and turn it on(you could even send a signal out of your session, to the Banshee and record that to anew audio track). If you choose to do this, you will probably want to nudge the new audio back so it lines up with the original(to compensate for the conversion latency). I like to use it with the tube strapped to the side of an SM57 or Beta57A, but any mic can work Remember to put the tape(or velcro or whatever) around the body of the mic and not around the grill or vents(which would screw up the polar pattern and change the sound).
