Default USB MIDI CONTROLLER NOT WORKING

I have recently purchased an Edirol PCR-30 and am trying to use it with my 24mix plus system. I have a G4 533 with 1GB RAM. I can get OMS to see the keyboard no problem and I have used the PCR OMS patch that edirol offers. I have enabled the inputs in ProTools but can't get any signal in. This is so frustrating... cause I bought a Midiman OXYGEN 8 first... same problem... then I took it back, thinking it was defective, and purchased this edirol... same deal... so I know it must be something in my system. I called Edirol and they said everything was setup correctly but they didn't know much about protools so they could not help.

I'm not sure what else to check... I deleted my PT and Digisetup pref's as well to see if that works... didn't help.

Any thoughts??

Did you select the controller under the -midi menu- in -input devices-?

I have the PCR-50 and I have no problems either as an input device or hui emulation. All my synths are virtual. I enabled midi thru and armed the midi track, routing the midi output to a virtual synth. Play keyboard, hear noise.

Yepp, I enabled the inputs in the MIDI menu. Strange, I know. I have a similar setup at work... I configured it the same way and no problems. I'm almost it's unique to my home system... but I have no clue what's wrong. I also tried re-installing OMS... same problems.
