I haven't ever heard of this either, but after restoring my computer from a drive crash, tweeking XP with most of the suggetions from Tascam (all except te regestrey suggestions), everythhing was working fine until today.
PT is now playing back existing sessions somewhere around 1/4 speed of normal (really slow and low). What's happening here? Also now there is a faint "field of crickets" (for lack of a better description) sound coming out of my monitors when PT is booted up. Need help fast Thanks in advance. Nevermind, it was a external sync problem (the thing your syncing to should be "on" as it turns out). That was a new issue for me. Please forgive my ignorance.
