Default New: Lopes Stereo Miking Technique

Hi,
My friend Rodrigo Lopes did a lot of research, testing and developed a new Microphone Recording Technique.

It is the Lopes Stero Miking Technique.

I don´t know if it is allowed to post a download link here, but we would like to spread and share this subject worlwide.

You may contact him for doubts and suggestions.

Nice 2009, to all!

This sounds interesting. Can't work in small rooms..

I didn't understand how exactly the center image stays stable.

About phase, that's true about the distance between them and the source not being a problem, but what about the fact that they have to point at each other? Or I am totally missing something.

And one last question, in the case of drum overheads like you explained, how high the mics need to be in order to get the right balance? Kit level? Cymbal level? Same as I would with common techniques?

Thanks

"Without the proper password, you do not have permission to copy portions of this document"

This is what happens when I try to copy - paste the email address in your PDF file, since the link inside the PDF document does nothing.

I will email your friend Rodrigo, about the height requirements, as measured from the floor. This is not addressed in the document at all.

Also, no consideration is made for the room around the drumkit / sound source, therefore, in the case where a sound source is not in the exact center of the room, this technique might capture too much of the room VS the sound source.

Cheers
