Default Midi Auto Release on Bounce

No matter what plug in I use (Battery 4, 3, Structure Free) I find that there's always a tail of audio following the midi when I bounce it. It's anywhere from 30-60 samples usually - does anyone know what's going on? And if this is a plugin resolution problem (I'm setting all AHSDR parameters off except Decay), or is this a Pro Tools thing? Thank you.
