Upgrade to PT9 still available?
I would like to upgrade my PT8 software to PT9 so I can use 3rd party hardware. Since that is my only purpose I don't care to spend 400 on PT10, is it possible to buy the PT9 upgrade only? I did plenty of searching and called avid but of course unless you pay they want nothing to do with you.

Ebay is one route to look at. Just buy from someone with great feedback, and maybe contact them first to verify you will get what you need(which includes the iLok asset). I saw some software only auctions, and auctions with hardware AND PT9(you can always sell the hardware to offset the total cost).
