Export Selected Regions - Feature Removed?

Quick backstory on my situation - I've been a PT user since v7 and have always gotten by on simply READING forum posts to help solve my problems but today I joined DUC because it appears I am on the only one on Earth either experiencing this or who CARES at all about this feature (impossible)...

Anyone else use the CMD + Shift + K "export selected clips" as files, tool?

I've recently upgraded to PT11, and while I'm nearly certain I've used the feature since upgrading, today I cannot find it on the top-menu and the aforementioned key-command does nothing. Simply "bouncing" will not suffice as I work part-time in voice over so I'm looking to export 1,000+ files (words, phrases) at once. This feature was ideal!

Someone please shed some light? Thank You!

Export clips as files is located in the region/clips menu.

Ahh, I see it now, thanks! Any ideas as to why mine would be greyed out / unclickable?

Hmmm. That one is new for me. Are the files write protected or on a network drive?
If you are on a Mac, have you tried to repair permissions with the disk utillity app?

I am not on a network drive and I don't believe this would be a permissions issue because I'm not even able to open the window that WOULD tell me if I can't write to disk (which I have seen before - Pro Tools won't check for permissions until it attempts to bounce / export so that shouldn't be causing the the menu item to be un-selectable.)

just throwing ideas out:

is your clip bin display a search results?
if for example the vo files in your timeline is called "VO_01" but you search your clip bin for results for "cars" and it's only display clips called cars, you won't be able to export selected region.

so press shift + cmd + D then highlight your clips and try again.

If that fails and it's somehow a file permission issue, try to do a "save copy in" and save a brand new session with the audio to a new place and try it there...
