Catalina not seeing Plugin Settings (but knows they are there)
Hi all
Brand new Mac Pro. Did *not* do any data import (data migration i mean) So I want my various plugin "presets" that I have made over the years from my old Mac (Sierra) to be on the new MacPro. So on my new Mac Pro (Catalina) I tossed out the Plugin Settings folder and brought in my old Plugin settings folder. [ProTools Plugin-Settings files are at: Documents / ProTools / Plug-In Settings. (Folder)] and then... even after tossing ProTools prefs and restart and launch ProTools - each plugin wont see my presets. even weirder - if i tried to manually import just one of my plugin presets inside any plugin - I get the attached error message - see attached image - so somehow ProTools SEES the plugin settings (and wont let me import a single one) but it wont show them in any plugin. Weird! anyone else see this? OS 10.15.5 PT 2020.5 any guesses as to an easy fix? thanks! |

Double check your user settings and re-set that path, it may do the trick.

Re: Catalina not seeing Plugin Settings (but knows they are there)
I have mine in iCloud so whenever I reinstall, I just point that to iCloud and that is it

Maybe you can do it manually by going to: System Preferences>Security and Privacy>Privacy tab>Files and Folders and adding Pro Tools there.

I had to go into System Preferences>Security and Privacy>Privacy button >Files and Folders ….. and adding Pro Tools there. YES - this was the fix - the Documents Folder here was not selected… so I did…. Fixed the problem. Whew! It was not selected by default. Tho PT was.... screen grab attached BEFORE I clicked on Documents. (to make it then work) |
