Default Pro Tools 11.3.1 crashes upon start up

Pro Tools 11.3.1 has started crashing upon start up. Blue screen message says that windows has detected an error and had to shut down. Once I restart everything in typical sequence i.e midi periferrals, windows 7, then Motu 828 - mk3 interface, after about three times and three crashes, pro-tools finally loads about the fourth or fifth time.

I suspect that my problem is with the Motu 828-mk3 interface.

Anyone else suffering with this? Moderators, any words of wisdom?
