In your Edit Window Views, I believe there might be a way to show faders..

I'm not seeing that option of faders in the edit window, but a workaround is to view the track's volume and use the trimmer tool to raise or lower. Having a fader in the edit window would be a great feature and could cause the mix window to be obsolete.

The next release of PT8.X will have this feature plus 'Tab to Zero' (waveform crosspoint) What day is this?

If you select View > Edit Window Views > I/O, you'll see volume and pan information on the left side of the Edit Window. If you click on the numeric field, a fader will pop up for volume, and a slider will pop up for pan.

Sweet. I've had PT8 for a month now, and there's plenty to learn.

You can also use that black bar that runs all the way across the screen in the edit window. All the way to the left you'll see a box with a drop down arrow. click on it and it'll allow u to add the inserts, the i/o for the volumes, and etc.....
