Works great with my MixPlus system.

Did you get anything else e.g. plug-ins, goodies?
Thinking of getting one and it would great if you get the goodies that new mbox/002 users get.

This looks great...but I need talkback. Any suggestions? What are you using to accomodate monitoring and talkback? Yes, I want it all

Thanks,
Mark

I have been looking at the central station. Can it really compare to a Coleman?

Command 8 is a well thought out surface for the money. No talkback is a limitation but you can't have everything at this price point.

I use Studio Technologies studio com along with the Command8 and it is a well made, well thought out system. The option of daisy chaining headphone amps with a single xlr cable makes things real simple and the sound quality is top notch, which aids in getting better performance's from the musicians.

What sets monitoring systems apart from one another is the circuts and how they are built.General rule of thumb is to stay away from cheap metal film resitors in the path which Coleman does not use, they have actual step attenuators in some of there units, which result in a good signal path. The companys that say passive,no ic chips etc...and then follow it up with a film resitor that Sony would use in a TV set I would stay away from.

Peace BT

My only beef about the Command 8 is the fact that its not expandable. At least, not like the Mackie Control. From what I understand, you'll be able to daisy chain the command 8 together with another, but a dedicated expansion unit isn't in the works. And even if it were, look at the base-unit design, the faders would be seperated! Looks like a Mackie Control is in the works for me.

If you take a look at the manual for the C8, it says that multiple units can't be connected to a computer. The manual is available for download in the tech doc section of the Digi website if you want to read it.
