You can undo almost everything.. but certain actions like select all unused regions clears the undo buffer.

Pretty much all is undoable if u did it... Only suck part is u can't go back & undo a certain thing after u already passed it without undoing what u did afterwards(U may have to read that a few times to get it-almost confused me & I wrote)

Off the top of my head, most of the things you can't undo relate to tracks themselves. Creating new tracks, changing i/o assignments, inserting plugs, moving tracks in the edit window all can't be undone, for example. I think all region-related operations are undoable.

There are a lot of different things in PT that are not undo-able, unfortunately, and I wish they would change that.

here are a few:
1) Removing a plug-in
2) changing most plug-in parameters
3) changing automation mode (which can in turn change settings such as levels)
4) changing input, output, and send assignments
5) Showing/hiding tracks
6) Split stereo track into mono (also clears undo cue)
7) Deleting groups (although it warns you that is it not undo-able)

These are just a few that have caused problems for me. They might look like they would be easily undone with one step, but under certain circumstances, these can cause all kinds of unintended consequences, and the only practical solution is to close the session and load the latest auto backup.

Again, like Keybeeetsss suggested, what we need is for every action to be undo-able, with a true selectable undo list, where you don't have to undo everything that you did after the one thing you want to undo.

Actually, that last one is undoable, provided “Include Control Changes in Undo Queue” is enabled in the PT Preferences (Mixing).

IHTH.

You can add "delete tracks" to that. Other programs can undo the deleted tracks.
