Re: tPro Tools LE 7.4cs2 Update for Windows FIXING-IMPROVEME
Ya know, it's rather odd, I read all these horror stories about how bad 7.4 is, but I installed it:
1. On my underpowered Mbox system. Runs without a hitch. Only thing I didn't like was the lack of ability to adjust the "tint" when you color-code your tracks, and I had to disable "elastic audio" on new tracks. 2. On ANOTHER system for a friend of mine, a standard old 3ghz single-core system. No problems at all. Recorded 48 tracks at once, played them all back. Nary a hiccup. The cs2 update gave up back the ability to adjust the color depth on our tracks just like we had in 7.3.1, and also addresses a bunch of problems that I honestly didn't have in the first place. I'm still trying to understand what all the fuss is about....... |
