Default Driving the engineer/producer nuts.

Over the years (30+) of recording, here are some things that I've found that will drive an engineer/producer crazy during a recording session with guitarists:

1. Coming into a session with a brand new "modeling" amp that you've bought the day before. (great for the billing dept., but awful for getting something recorded!)
2. Trying to find the right tone for a track, and when everyone agrees that it's finally perfect, changing the settings right before the record button is hit.
3. Claiming the only way to get the best sound for a song is to use an original MemoryMan analog delay... (worst analog delay pedal ever)..
4. Insisting that the bad caps in the Silvertone amp you found in your girlfriend's dad's basement adds to the "character" of the amp...
5. New strings? Heck, that's $7.00 I could be spending on beer!
6. Wondering why the recording doesn't make him sound like (insert favorite guitarist name here)...
7. Deciding that working on solo riffs while everyone else is trying to overdub vocal harmonies is a good thing.

Hehehe. Yes, a separate list could be made for every musician.. but geeze, I do love recording!
