Finally someone who gets it!
Now if only the Beta Test team would get it!
A bug that has been arounds for months & months and NOBODY from Avid even commenting here OBVIOUSLY shows their lack of commitment to fix important bugs

Avid almost never comments on bugs here.
The Ideascale thing is truly strange,.
Voting on which bugs to fix, like Avid can't decide what is important

Dude, that link was to a post from 2011 and was not a post about a known bug.

Isn't it futile to argue about an "unofficial" comment from some Avid employee? On the record, that person - whoever it was - would certainly not suggest that this known bug isn't a priority. And since that person isn't here to defend himself/herself, it's pointless to argue about it, no?

Their comment about this bug's relevance to them is hardly the issue, or even relevant. What matters is their effort to repair it, which, after such a long delay, is clearly a serious problem for PT11 owners. If this type of problem existed in an Apple product, how long would it take for an update to be issued? They'd hire the necessary staff the minute it was discovered and the repair would be issued quickly. But then they're one of the world's largest and most successfule companies, whereas Avid's hold on the industry continues to wane.

Submit an official complaint -- encourage them push the issue to the top of the pile. They're not going to give two schvits about these posts.

I'm not sure why you are so convinced that this Avid rep didn't say that this was not a priority. Especially when the sentiment has been echoed in two separate conversations stated here.
People have been submitting official bug complaints regarding this and haven't received a response. So users are frustrated! Saying they don't give a crap about these posts is absolute rubbish. Did not see the previous posts/links provided by Touchwood Studios in this thread? If users have received any positive responses from Avid regarding this, we would be having a totally different conversation right now.
If you want to give Avid the benefit of the doubt I have no problem with that. But don't come here and tell people they didn't have an experience they clearly had unless you were there! Better yet go have your own conversation with an Avid rep and maybe we challenge your conversation here.

Show some respect!

Please read my post more carefully as I didn't suggest that the report of that conversation was poorly portrayed, I suggested that it's irrelevant in the big picture and that placing a microscope over it is a waste of time. The Avid "rep" said that this bug wasn't a priority... or he said that it was... Honestly, what difference does the accurate transcript of that conversation, or his/her particular opinion about the bug, make in the repair of this important issue? None. Zero. Zilch. Nada. We're getting distracted by a conversation which plays no role in this.
