Default 10.3.1 "Could not create new doc because Assertion in.."
After upgrading from PT 10.2 > 10.3.1 I receive the following error:

Could not create a new document because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/ws.Protools_10.3.1/AlturaPorts/DFW/MacBuild/../Views/UMenu.MacOS.mm", line 1351

Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5 on a 2010 Mac Pro.

I also found that if I turned off Bluetooth, Pro Tools would start up without the "line 1351" error.

I saw I had a old Jawbone Bluetooth headset (that I stopped using long ago) listed among the Bluetooth devices. I delete that obsolete device, turn on Bluetooth again, and when I restarted Pro Tools again it started with no problems. Go figure.

I have turned off bluetooth, trashed prefs, you name it. This was a clean install of 10.3.3.

Funny thing is I rolled back to 10.3.2 and I don't get that error. Starts ups fine.

I had nothing but grief with 10.3.3. Stay with 10.0

I'm also having this problem. Deleted prefs, clean install, no bluetooth, fixed permissions..

Was running 10.3.2. Tried 10.3.3

Tried starting holding N.

Nothing is working. It was working fine 2 weeks ago. Now broken... I'm glad I'm not the only one!

anyone fix this? I need help also.. same assertion error, brand new install of 10.3.5 to fix the same error in 10.3.3.. DID NOT FIX.
heres my specs..

Macbook pro 13" 2.53ghz (firewire 800)
OS 10.8.3
MBOX mini 2nd gen
Pro Tools 10.3.5
RAM 4gig
firewire glyph 800 external drive (OS extended) used for recording and playback.

i did not trash them because the assertion error appeared the very first time i tried to launch 10.3.5 after installation. I uninstalled 10.3.3 because i was having exactly the same issues with it & someone else told me to uninstall it & reinstall a newer version.

well, trashing the database and prefes is always the first step in troubleshooting Assertion errors
