In case you or someone reading this thread is interested in a carry case for a laptop and Mbox, this is now available on the DigiStore and from Digi dealers:
Mbag

P.S. DUC regulars will notice that we go out of our way to avoid trying to sell anything on the DUC, but this item just became available in the last couple of weeks and not many people know about it. We had this custom made at the request of a number of Mbox owners.

DIGI please make mbox v2 that is SMALLER and uses firewire, and allow 2+2 channels (analog & spdif). maybe a half-rack design or even SMALLER (take apogee mini dac for example), and no stupid corners that get in the way - the standing design is just plain stupid, as the device would be much better sideways. because you force us laptop users carry digi hardware around, just please make it really SMALL. or release protools free osx already. or let us use protools without any audio output at all.

ok, enough ranting already. you make good quality products, just keep making it better. you can do it.

Just got mine in the mail:
The inside measurements of the main pocket are roughly 32 x 33 x 5 (WxHxD) cm, that is 12.6" x 12.99" x 1.97" in the U.S., is it? Big enough that my 12" PB gets lost in it

Julian.

USB1.1 cannot support simultainious analog and spidf inputs. To release a FW version would cut into 002/002R sales.

The mini DAC is only D-A.

Digi's piracy protexction si the softwares inability to launch without the hardware present.

Now if they were slick, they'd desing the M-box like the Mackie Spike. the footrest is an arm that swings under the unit for transport for storage, making the entire thing about 2" wide.
