PT crashing on video playback
Have just installed PT9 LE on a new Windows 7 machine with 2GB RAM and having issues playing back QT video. Often it will playback fine the first time I hit play, but after scrubbing/scrolling/clicking around the edit window, I will get the following error:
"Access violation occurred, unable to read location: 0x2C123027" PT's will then freeze and I have to force quit and restart PC before attempting to restart PT's. Session plays back fine when video is not in session. Ive also tried compressing video with different codecs. Any ideas? Thanks, JL |

Re: PT crashing on video playback
After reading some of the posts here, seems like having only 2GB of RAM might be the issue here. Was running PT8 on an older XP machine no problem, does PT9 on Windows 7 require at least 4-6GB?

Re: PT crashing on video playback
No luck, still the same issues after upgrading to 6GB RAM. Either getting the same error as above, or PT/video will just freeze without warning and I'll have to force quit.
Anyone have any ideas, Im not getting much done here |
