Unhappy Tripped by Lack of PDC

I love PTLE for so many things but the lack of PDC is completely screwing me... when the timing is of what you play go out..it is very frustrating to keep fixing and in the process lose the feel of the of playing.. I have tried by level best.

I was the lone man standing in our group where all moved back to Logic because of the workflow and the way it was laid out...

Bye Bye PTLE until I get PDC am not coming back.... Sure will have some learning curve in Logic since i have been away from it for 18 months now but will get make music with my feel and flow.

I am sure this will be treated as several other rants, because Avid doesn't give a damn about its customers....

Good luck to all those who continue to battle on..

I know what you mean mate its an absolute nightmare, I can not fault PT apart from the lack of ADC for f**k sake even FL Studio has it now, it is an absolute joke, however I have to use PT and I enjoy it until the mixing stage, then it gets better after you have all your plug's setup and spent the best part of a night getting them back in time! I have just bought a new Digi interface so I can't complain to much lol!

The strange thing is, his description of the problem makes it sound like he might mean recording latency. And/or he expects plug-in compensation on tracks he's recording on, while recording. If so, he'll quickly find the same problem(s) in Logic if he uses the same plugs. I admit, I'd love to see automatic plug-in delay compensation for audio that has already been recorded. It would be a time saver. And I think it was an incalculable error on Digi's part not to start earlier rewriting the software from scratch to provide us that feature. But it's unreasonable to expect to break the laws of physics by having finite impulse algorithms finishing their calculations in less than one sample time. If that's what he meant.
