Anyhow, if you read that guide you'll see the HD Core card being called HD ACCEL CORE for PCIe.

Just read that and sprayed coffee out my nose onto my keyboard...... Very excited!!! (well spotted by the way!!)

Really...what's the big deal Digi? Give us the specs and prices. It's already been announced a month ago and some already have it.

It is quite strange that a high tech. company would ship a product (regardless of any pre-annoucements) and not put out an official press release/announcement/etc.

Strange...never seen it in my 15+ years in high tech employment...very strange....

Wow, $5000 to exchange from PCi-X to PCIe ?, cheaper to get the new HD|Expansion Chassis and be able to expand your system

Where did you get this info?"

Yah, I heard right from the mouth of digi yesterday that the HD Core Accel will not
show any noticable improvement due to some other issues.

Perhaps someone with even more knowledge can tell you better though.

Really, the PCIe cards seem just about dead in the water to me . . . maybe their rethinking the whole idea. I mean the chassis will not take PCIe cards, and it apparently improves the DSPmixer efficiency over cards on the PCI mobo.

I'd rather spend the 2400 and get the digi controlled motherboard and buy the host card to suit whatever computer comes down your pipe.
