Slowing down on opening Virtual instruments
I've been experiencing this problem everytime i open a vst in pro tools..
I can open a thousand of tracks and have no problem with speed or performance. but when i have an instrument, moving becomes slow, specialy trying to record it.. no mater how much i play with the playback engine in buffer and sample rate, nothing changes.. specs: mini mbox pro tools 8.0.5 (updated for 64bits) Windows 7 64bit i have an i7 3.4ghz 12gb ram refurbished HP i also have fruity loops 10 and all the vsts there work great, i can add a up a lot of tracks and no problem... plz can someone help solve this.. it's frustrating it's messing up my whole work.. even when i open an empty session, just by adding a rtas instrument, it bugs (anyy rtas! from mini grand to kontakt) -- i thnk the prob is more midi related.. weird... i tried sending an aux with a vst, to record wav on an empty audio track, and it worked great. unfortunately i cant rely on wav for now Last edited by shadyshakra; 04-24-2012 at 06:30 AM.
