Default 003 Rack not recognized by firewire

My internal firewire ports on my Dell XPS got fried and took my 003 down with it. The interesting part is that when you plug it into any PC (I tried 3 different ones (mac pro and macbook pro)), then the rear firewire light, lights up. However it does not get recognized by any computer. I took the cover off to look and the FPGA board is blinking fast. I beleive what has happened is something has zapped the programming off of the FPGA (Cyclone II board). The question is... Does Digidesign have software to reprogram the FPGA without having to send it to Digi? And yes I tried holding down the aux and mute or whatever the combination was and then seeing the 3 blinking lights up front and loading Pro tools 8 to try to force the firmware update. The problem is that i don't think the board is telling the computer it is a Digi 003. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, we don't, and it sounds like you may have blown firewire ports on the unit. You should contact tech support by phone for info on how to get this repaired.
