What is with you guys? Why not just give him the part name / number and let this die? Such big strong men. Posting intentionally blurred pics and calling someone else an [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]? Wow.

Maybe because the guy was a putz with a bad 'tude in his replies here? If he'd have replied somewheres along the lines of: "I understand there's a difference in the wiring of the cables and can work around that making sure each pin on each side goes where it's supposed to go. All I need are the part numbers to build the cables. Thanks." Then I dare say things would have gone better.

For what? It probably needs internal twisted pairs and shieldings every here and there and you can't really do any special cables, all are just pin1-to-pin1 and so on.

It's not a simple 'pin 1 to pin 1', btw. As others have said there are crossovers in the pinout. But on to the wire involved, can anyone help me with the spec for the cabling...?

I'm sure Avid will not tell you; but if you know what connector it is, you can probably google some more information and try your luck with that. This forum isn't helpful in this kind of things...

No info to be found. When you drop support of a product, you should really lighten up on the guarding and scrubbing...
