Lightbulb Customer Assist Web Application Now Online

The Customer Assist web application is a new web-based project designed to help users with technical issues and questions. We welcome your feedback and suggestions in this forum. To use the interactive website, please visit the following link:

About This Project
This web application is designed to help you setup Avid products properly, fix common issues you may be experiencing, find compatibility and downloads, provide tutorials and answer many questions you may have before purchasing a product all while educating you in the process. Start by selecting a product and then navigate around the sections using the tabs after the product has loaded.

Note
This application is not fully complete at this time. We have decided to release this early version to give our customers a chance to have a look around and gather your valued feedback. We would like to hear what you think about the application and encourage any enhancement requests you might like to see in the future that would make your experience with Avid products a pleasant one.

Initial Scope and Compatibility
  • Products: Pro Tools LE Products
  • Languages: English
  • Compatible Browsers: Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome on Mac and Windows
  • Required Flash Player Version: 10
  • Access: Online Only

Future Plans & Goals
  • More products, more content
  • In depth computer compatibility check (automated script and manual options)
  • Plug-in compatibility check (automated script)
  • Glossary of terms (Audio, Video and Computer terms)

How You Can Help
Please utilize the Customer Assist Forum to post your feedback, bug reports, and your ideas to improve future versions of Customer Assist. Or you can reply to an existing thread in that forum if your issue is related to something that has already been posted.

Reporting Bugs
If you find a bug while using the application, please report what section it was found in, a description of the behavior and the expected behavior you think should happen. Also please include the name of the web browser, browser version number, and operating system you were using at the time.

Recommending Enhancements
We want to hear your ideas on ways to improve the Customer Assist application. Please describe the enhancement in as much detail as possible, and make sure to list which specific tab this enhancement applies to.

Thanks, we look forward to hearing from you!
