Default 9129 Error Resolution Tip Mac and UAD

Hi All,

I didn't see a direct link for this here.

I'd been experiencing a lot of 9129 errors over the last week or two and it was driving me nuts...

I poked around on the web, and someone (can't recall where) mentioned that corrupt UAD prefs can cause this.

It's been some time since I've done the UAD prefs maintenance.

Sure enough, after I did an uninstall using the UAD uninstaller, and then manually removed EVERYTHING UAD from the preferences, did mac maintenance and then reinstalled UAD software, I worked for several hours without a single occurrence of this error.

So I guess I'll be working this into my maintenance schedule.

Hope this helps someone.

Best,

Pete

I'm using Pro Tools Ultimate 2018.12, HDX * 2, 2 UAD Octo's, mac trashcan 12 core 64 gig ram, Mac OS 10.12.6, Single HD i/o slaved to Grim clock.

You only worked for several hours...? Meaning the issue returned? Yikes!

I ran the computer for the rest of the day without error.

System has been stable all day today.

In general this is a very stable system... pt has just gotten better and better over the past two years.
