Reconfiguring system - Video out to HDMI from older Mac Pro?

SDDP - Some of the reviews of the Blackmagic Intensity 4K mention a really loud fan noise. I tend to work with my Mac Pro in the same room. Have you found noisy fans to be a problem in your set-up?

It's not the 4K version, just regular 1080P. I also use my mac in the main mix room and in the same boat, but it's in an enclosed case (which does get hot, but hooked up a 14,btu ac unit ducted into it, which takes it from 91F to 58F in 20-30 min)
