Anyone Recording Guitars Direct into Pro Tools with a Line6 Pocket Pod or Pod HD?
Hi,
I'm a bass player and am looming for some decent distortion for occasional guitar recordings. Looking to record directly into an Mbox Pro and I was wondering if a Line6 Pocket Pod would do the trick. It's a cheaper option than the Pod HD model so I was hoping for some feedback on the pocket pod or pocket pod vs pod HD for my distortion needs. Thanks in advance! |

You'd do better to just use an amp sim plugin, and plug into the Mbox Pro. The sound quality would be better because with the Pocket Pod, you're going through extra steps of digital conversion. If it's one of the Pod Pro versions, they have digital outs, and much more variety of sounds in them, so that might make sense. But there's lots of options in the plugin world.
