Default No more sharing to SoundCloud in 12HD?

I could swear I could do this before. Is it no longer a feature in PT12HD?

That's the trouble with all these fads that get incorporated into ProTools...they only ever seem to be temporary and soon end up by the wayside. (Gobbler anyone?) That's why I've always personally always tended to leave these things well alone. I can see the whole Cloud Collaboration thing going the same way to be honest....

not once it's intranet capable. That will be used by many people in multi-room facilities in both music and post.

I think the Gobbler thing was in part political - several key personnel jumped ship from Avid to Gobbler, and the whole "Avid Everywhere" campaign put the two companies in direct competition.

If Avid really do have a grand vision for Avid Everywhere, then a mainstream portal, like Soundcloud, will very much be on the cards (in some form or another).

I hope it has the option to NOT display display the waveform, especially as the default view. I personally hate being directed to a webpage that shows me exactly how the piece of music I'm about to listen to is structured dynamically - it just completely ruins the experience of first hearing a piece when, for example, you know it has a slow fade in, then the beat kicks in, then a "surprise" loud bridge occurs, before settling back. That after the first chorus, all the rhythm tracks drop out, and there is a respite, before the song builds up again. That you can see where the middle 8 occurs, and that there's a double length chorus with increasing intensity, before everything drops away, leaving just the vocal & a solo instrument.

It just reduces the whole thing to a roadmap of a bag of tricks, and you know how the experience is going to play out before you've even heard a note - which is ironic, given that the whole raison de-etre for things like Soundcloud, is to experience audio - but then again, video killed the radio star!
