OT- taking large files from a PC to a MAC?
i've got a few large files (1 gig+) that i need to take over from a PC to a mac. is there a utility that works on both platforms like winrar that will split up the large file into several smaller files to be burned onto a cd, then taken to the mac machine to be put back together? thanks for your help.

Re: OT- taking large files from a PC to a MAC?
The bulk of your session is going to be in the audio files folder. You can split these files across as many discs as you need, and just restore them to the audio files folder when you copy the session onto the Macs audio drive. You do not need special software.
Option 2 wouild be to purchase a firewire drive, (assuming both computers have a firewire connection) and do a save session copy in, enforce Mac/PC compatibility and save to the FW drive. You can then run the sesion on the Mac directly friom the firewire drive. |
