Default Freezes on Activating Inserts

When I am trying to open sessions, computer stalls (hand keeps going) and will not open sessions. Tried all of the usual, prefs, etc. Re-installed PT, removed plug's that it was freezing on, but it continues to freeze on different plugs (TC Master-X, Lexiverb). Possible memory problem?? I've tried zapping my PRAM, computer acknowledges correct amount of RAM, memory for DAE and PT is OK, buffer size is OK. It just started doing it today. No problems opening these sessions yesterday.
G4 AGP, 384 RAM, Mix 3 sys. ATTO U2LVD. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks,
Steve

I'm assuming you are using PT 5.1

-Never change the Minimum Memory size for DAE or Pro Tools. If you have, reset the DAE Minimum size to 30000k and Pro Tools Minimum to 35320k.

-Reduce the Disk Cache in the Memory Control Panel to 512k and restart the computer.

-Rebuild the Desktop file. Hold down the Apple+Option keys while the extensions march across the bottom of the screen during boot-up. Hold the keys down until you get a window prompting you and then Click “OK”.

-Possible extension conflict. Open the Extensions Manager Control Panel. From the selected set pop-up menu, select “OS 9.x base” click on “Duplicate Set" at the bottom of the window. Name the set whatever you like. Enable the following extensions and restart the computer:
-Digidesign Control Panel
-DigiSystem INIT
-Digidesign Direct I/O
-Digidesign DSP Manager
-Digidesign Stream Manager (only if using DirectConnect)
-Digidesign Output Drivers
-Open Music System
-USB Floppy Enabler

If the session(s) is/are still freezing when loading plug-ins:
-Create a new session and see if you can max out all your DSPs without errors.

-Run DigiTest on the cards.

Brent, thanks for the quick reply. Minimum memory size for PT and DAE is ok. Disk cache is set at 512. No extension conflicts that I can see.
Another problem that I didn't mention was the DIGITEST issue. It does not appear to be working. It will load up, but when I hit run, nothing happens. It doesnt appear to be running. I can close out and reboot ok, but I get no DIGITEST results.
Thanks again,
Steve
