Frequent Hangs while activating inserts

I have had increasing issues where I work on a project with some VI's (RA, or Velvet for instance) and some SoundToys effects on Aux Tracks
When I go to re-open the session the next day it will hang on activating inserts, quite often the track named last during the hang, has no such VI or effect.
I have to force quit and then create a new session and import tracks. Usually I import all but the offending tracks and then once that is saved I can import the offending track. I have been suspecting the Soundtoys effects, Anyone have any ideas?

Which version of Pro Tools are you running? If it's 7.0 or higher, you absolutely, positively MUST make sure that all installed plug-ins (not just the ones being used in your sessions) are Pro Tools 7 compatible. Having just one incompatible plug-in installed can cause all sorts of bizarre problems.

Yes my plugs are all vetted for 7.0 version. I have 7.3.1cs3 on OS X 10.4.9 My soundtoys are the latest update
