Bypass Mic Pre?

If I go from my Avalon xlr out into the C24 xlr am I not still being sent throught the C24 pre? If I am to set the C24 pre to nothing does this act a a bypass? Seems I would like to not go from my Avalon to a lesser pre... What am I missing? Thank you all for you input.

Hi,

Don't use the c24 at all! go straight from your Avalon to the Digi interface 192/96/etc.

If you are using your c24 as a patchbay (interface into your pro tools) then try to use a dedicated balanced patchbay to interface your 192/96 directly to your Avalon.

You may have to use the Digi snakes to get the signals to and from the 192/96 to a patchbay..
