Default What\'s the maximum no of plugs allowed?

I've been loading plug-in bundles into my PT and now am finding some of them not available in the menu.

If I remove some VST dll's from the fxpansion plug-ins folder, some of the others re-appear. This suggests I may have gone over the maximum allowed.

Anyone know what that maximum would be? Is there a total max? Or seperate max's for RTASs and VSTs?

Thanks.

If you turn off the oganization, the max is still 256. They show up in the menu, but when you try to use them, the plugin window is empty.

This is "sort of" a fix to the old 6.1.1 bug. At least now it doesn't start over at the beginning of the list, but plugins over 256 in the list are still unusable.

Of course, organization is suposed to solve this. I haven't tested this with organization on. I haven't had the time to play with it, and I haven't wanted to re-install all the crap free VSTs that I uninstalled. Might be time for just such a test.

I've left the new 6.4 organisation on, and I still appear to have this problem. But the missing plugs - both VST and RTAS - don't appear in the menu.

(Could my prob be something else?)

Does the number of presets for a plug-in count towards the 256? Some plugs have presets as seperate files.

I haven't counted, but I find it hard to believe I've hit 256 already.
