Default Ultimate Soundbank Plug-ins help!

Does anyone have any experience working with the Ultimate Soundbank Plugsound series please? I have just bought Volume 5 which is for synths and followed all the instructions for installation, yet the plug-in does show up in my PTLE 6.4 list of plug-ins.

I have copied the .dat and .dll files into the plug-ins directory via windows explorer and installed the PS05 windows installer and no show. I have tried contacting the plug-in manufacturere's technical support but nothing is forthcoming so I thought I should ask here in the meantime to see if anyone has experienced this problem.

Plugsound is only very recently Protools Windows compatible. Go Here to find the RTAS updates.

The files you moved are VST files and Not RTAS. To work in Protools, you will need to install the RTAS versions which will then be seen by Protools.

Ah, that would explain it. I wondered why the instructions said copy those files to your vst plug-in directory. Although I just copied to the DAE/plug-ins direcctory, assuming it was the same thing. Problem with their support is that you have no access to important files/information until you have registered and you can not regsiter until you access the program. Meanwhile I have emailed them but no response. There does not appear to be anywhere I can get the rtas equivalent of those files. The instructions are virtually non-existent.I hope they respond with how I can get the rtas files you refer to.

Thanks by the way.

I already installed that, still the same problem. I suspect the problem may be with the files I copied from the cdrom which may be vst and not rtas

There is a .dpm file but no .dpm.rsr

It seems that could be the problem. Cos when I look in explorer, there are many files which have both .dpm and .dpm.rsr extensions

Copy all .dpm files into Prohgram Files- Common Files - Digidesign - DAE - Plugins. You may be OK that way. Every plug-in company has a slightly different take on their format. The one consistent is the .dpm file.

Have you tried inserting on a stereo track? Some modules are stereo only, others are mono only.
