Plugin Settings Not Recalling

Hi all -

Some plugins - both DSP and Native - don't remember settings when a session is re-opened.

I notice this on Mod Delay III (sometimes won't recall note selections), Reel Tape (never remembers tempo sync) the new 2098 EQ from Plugin Alliance hardly recalls any setting in DSP mode (but does in Native) and Waves Sound Shifter never remembers pitch settings.

I'm running HDX on Ultimate (whatever the latest is) and High Sierra. 3.4gHz maxed-out cheesegrater.

Thoughts? Is there a fix or workaround that someone has discovered? Can anyone reproduce?
