Pt 11 or 12 confusion

Here's the problem...hopefully someone can advise

Decided to get ProTools and saw that version 12 is out..well it's not compatible with my Mac's OS but version 11 is... my question is I already signed up for the monthly subscription (yes I should have checked compatibility first) but would that work if I found a version of 11 to install? I can't update my OS due to my other programs and work flow so I'm not sure what to do. Any ideas?

What specific OSX version are you running? Seems like the info on your profile page is out of date - a lot of people put their system info there with a notification in their sig file of such.

If you have Mac's OS 10.11.6 you can run Pro tools 12.4.0 because I use a Mac book pro 2012 and I am using pro tools 12.4.0 with a native instruments maschine mikro 2 drum machine.
