Default 18 simultaneous record on digi 001

hey its probly been asked b4 , but i couldnt find it .

I use a PC and 001 , I want to know how to connect 18 instruments to the 001 , i have a mixer too .

adat ? sp-dif ?

adat will give you 8 more. s/pdif another 2.

there you have it. total of 18

You need 1 or 2 external mixers or devices with ADAT and or S/PDIF outputs. 1 ADAT line has 8 audio channels. s/pdif has 2 audio channels. That's gives your 18 IN's including the 8 on Digi001. If your using more than 2 mics then you'll need mic pre-amps in your external ADAT hook ups. The Yamaha 01V seems like a mixer that could work well with getting this amount of IN's to a digi001.

Im beginning to understand now , ill check out the yamaha 01v to see if I can use that .
