Default Basic Midi Routing Question

I'm running PT M-Powered, using a firewire solo as my interface. Since it has no midi, I have a Radium 49 that I have previously used to control virtual instruments.

I have a Korg MS-2000BR (rack version) that I would like to bring into the mix, controlling it with the Radium, recording the midi into pro-tools, and then in playback I want to obviously hear the MS-2000 sounds.

Currently, the setup is as follows:
Radium connected to computer via USB
Radium connected via MIDI out to MS2000's MIDI in
MS2000 connected via AUDIO outputs to Firewire Solo audio in

When I enable a new instrument track in Protools, I am able to record MIDI data. While recording, you can hear the MS-2000 sounds. During playback, though, the midi data is not triggering the MS-2000 sounds.

Does the MS-2000 need to be routed from it's MIDI outs back into the computer?

If so, since the radium does not have MIDI ins, I am not sure how to accomplish this, short of purchasing a standalone MIDI interface.

Any help is appreciated, not sure if this is a hardware or software routing issue!

Thanks,
Joshua

No.

But I'm not sure what you want to do is possible with the radium, as I beleive it is a controller (read output only) only, and not a MIDI router (but I could be wrong). AS you said yourself, it does not have MIDI ins. I'm not sure that it passes MIDI out from Pro TOols through the USB connection.
Does the Radium appear in the output dropdown of your MIDI/Instrument track?

You should only have to select the Radium as the output for the MIDI/Instrument track if it does.
