Default EQ II and other "legacy" plug-ins working in PT9?

Hi everyone,

I have old Pro Tools sessions made originally in LE v5. I have them open in 9 and the SDII files converted to WAVs fine, but EQ II and the old Digidesign limiter and delay plugins aren't working (http://akmedia.digidesign.com/suppor...v7.4_42154.pdf).

If there were a way to get a hold of these old plugins, could I simply plop them in the plugins folder and expect them to work? If yes, any idea where I can get them?

PS: I went back to the v7 installer and found a file called "UnsupportedPlugins.bundle", which I tried to put in the plugins folder for 9 but it didn't work. :\

Hi,

Are any of those plugins in the unused plugins folder? I think they might install there and you have to manually move them into the plugins folder.

I searched my Mac for "unused" and nothing came up, so I think they stopped packing PT with this mysterious "Unused Plugins" folder after v7 or v8.

Hi,

Go back to your v7 installer and find the unsupported plugins installer. "Install this bundle" (dint just copy it manually to the plugins folder)

Now see if this works by moving them from the unused plugins folder to the plugins folder....

Library, application support, digidesign, unused plugins.

Move out of the unused plugins folder into the plugins folder...

Library, application support, digidesign, plugins.

Thanks for your help! I tried that, only checking the "DigiRack Plugins" box in the install menu. It said the plugins installed but I don't see them anywhere and can't find them...? Keep in mind I already have v9 installed on my computer.

Unzip and put these in your plugins folder.
