Digilink I/O
Hi everyone,
I'm currently running PT 11.3.2 Vanilla on iMac 27" 2013, OS X Yosemite. Recently bought 5.1 Genelecs, therefore it's time to upgrade my interface and upgrade PT to PTHD as well. I had a look on eBay and there is a couple options for Avid HD Omni + HD Native Thunderbolt combo. Just hardware without PT HD. I think it's a good combo for my needs, I don't really need a lot of mic preamps, I mostly do audio post-production. Plus DSP will give me extra power if I need it. My question is next. If I buy a second hand Omni+Thunderbolt without PTHD software combo from Ebay, then buy a PT12HD perpetual license from AVID (Which will give me 12.7.1), will I have to buy Digilink I/O License for $299 to get my setup going as well? Or does Digilink I/O License come with PTHD 12.7.1? Or should I just go for a 3rd party interface instead, like MOTU for example? :) Thanks |
